The Department of Economics at the AV视频 is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow. Applications are welcome from outstanding candidates with research interests in applied economics. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the highly policy-relevant area of environment and health. You will be part of a consortium grant entitled “Tackling the root causes of upstream of unhealthy urban development” that investigates the effects of urban development on health and wellbeing in the United Kingdom. 

This position is based in the Department of Economics at the AV视频. You will be line-managed by and . You will collaborate with a large multi-disciplinary team at the University of Bristol and University of Manchester and liaise with policymakers.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5. hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 31/08/2025.

You will have an Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent) in economics, a Master’s Degree in Economics or Health Economics, and a PhD in Economics or related quantitative subject. You will also need to demonstrate detailed understanding of micro-econometric techniques. Experience of analysing large administrative data and contributing to publications are also required.
